Project Camaro Bad boy
Here you can see our next project that we have just started. The starting point is a 2017 Camaro SS. Perfect car with low km so no repairs will be necessary beyond rebuilding. The interior is also very nice, so we will not have to change much inside. The first step now is to get the wide body kit in place and have the width of the rims and backspacing measured so that we can order rims. It is important to fill the wheel arches to the maximum and that it is also possible to put the car on the ground without the rims and tires sagging anywhere.
Next on the list is to install air suspension. There will be a system with level control with sensors. The control unit can then be programmed so that the car automatically sits at a set height. Here you can select 5 different settings. The system will also automatically adjust to a set height while driving. This should not be possible to override as long as the car is moving. The system can also be operated via an app on your phone. Not so important, but a nice option.
The engine will be upgraded with a compressor from Magnusson. New cam designed for the compressor together with new valve springs and upgraded rocker arms. DOD/Displacement on demand will be both programmed away and rebuilt. So there will be new valvelifters for the necessary rebuilds. The oil pump will also be upgraded at the same time. The exhaust system will be replaced so that we get the maximum out of the compressor. Here there will be Kooks longtube headers and race catalysts together with a cat back system with a suitable sound. The brakes must also be upgraded to a larger variant. Here the choice has fallen on a big brake kit from Willwood with 6 piston calipers at the front and 15" full floating discs. At the rear there will be 4 piston calipers with 14" full floating discs. The calipers will be painted in competition orange. This color will also be repeated on other details on the car. The choice fell on this color because there are orange contrast seams in the interior.
